What is FGTS Profit?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>

Since 2017, Brazilian workers have received a portion of the profit generated by the amounts held in FGTS accounts. Caixa, which manages these accounts, invests the balance in infrastructure and sanitation projects, among others.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Any worker who had a balance in their FGTS account on December 31 of the previous year (in this case, 2022) is entitled to the proportional profit. This means that even if you withdrew your FGTS in 2023, you will still receive a portion of the balance you had as of December 31, 2022.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Both active accounts, from the current job, and inactive accounts, from previous jobs, participate in the profit distribution, as long as they meet the date criterion.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

How do I calculate the FGTS profit?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>

If you have already confirmed that you are entitled to the profit, the next step is to find out how much you will receive. To do this, multiply the balance you had on December 31, 2022 by 0.02461511.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

For example, if your balance was R$ 1,000.00, the calculation would be: 1,000 x 0.02461511, resulting in R$ 24.61 profit receivable.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Or, to put it simply, you will receive R$ 2.46 for every R$ 100.00 you had in balance on the base date.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

How do I check my FGTS balance?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>

To find out the exact amount of your balance in December of the previous year, you can consult the Caixa FGTS app, available for Android and iOS. If you prefer, you can also access your balance on the Caixa website or directly at a branch.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
