What is the Single Registry?

O Single Registry is a tool used by the Federal Government to collect information on low-income and/or socially vulnerable families.

It is a database that gathers detailed information on family composition, income, schooling, housing and other information needed to assess the benefit.

In this way, the government gains access to the reality of these families and can implement public policies to meet their specific needs.

Operation and purpose

Registration in the CadÚnico program is carried out by city halls in collaboration with the Caixa Econômica Federal.

Families seeking benefits such as Bolsa Família or the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC) must first be registered in the Unified Registry.

After registration, the information provided is analyzed to ensure its veracity.

The main objective of CadÚnico is to serve as an instrument of social inclusion, allowing families in vulnerable situations to have access to programs aimed at improving their living conditions.

Furthermore, by collecting and monitoring this data, the government can identify areas and groups that need more attention and resources.

Who can sign up for the Unified Registry?

As it is a register that aims to help people who live in a situation of social vulnerability and need specific government aid, it is important to meet certain criteria.

Here's what you need to do to register with the Unified Registry and claim your benefits:

The family must have an income of up to half the minimum wage or a total income of up to three minimum wages;

You can register directly at a CRAS - Social Assistance Reference Center in your city.
