On June 5, the Ministry of Finance announced the launch of the Desenrola Brasil Program, an initiative aimed at reducing the number of defaulters in the country.
If debts are piling up and taking away your sleep, your peace and even your joy, know that you are not alone in this situation.
Between the end of 2021 and the middle of 2023, the number of Brazilians in debt reached a worrying record. According to data from Serasa, approximately 69.43 million people started 2023 with outstanding debts.
However, there is good news for those who are facing this challenging scenario: some of these people will have the opportunity to negotiate their debts more affordably and with attractive discounts.
And how will this be possible? The answer lies in the Desenrola Brasil Program, the federal government's latest initiative.
To find out all the details about the program and how to take part, read on to the end.
With the Desenrola Brasil ProgramYou will have the chance to resolve your debts more easily and quickly.
This program is aimed especially at Brazilians who have small debts, i.e. up to R$5 thousand.
One of the main features of the program is that its operation depends on creditors joining in, since the debts are of a private nature.
Therefore, in order to take advantage of the discounts on offer and get installments that fit your budget, it is essential that the company you owe participates in the Desenrola Brasil Program.
In addition, the percentage of the discount granted will depend on the lenders' policies. However, the federal government is optimistic that it will be possible to negotiate very attractive discounts.
If you're facing financial difficulties due to accumulated debts, the Desenrola Brasil Program could be the solution you've been looking for.
For more information on how to participate in the program and take the first step towards your financial health, be sure to contact the responsible authorities or the creditor companies.
Through the Desenrola Brasil Program, the federal government is demonstrating its commitment to helping Brazilian citizens overcome financial difficulties and regain control of their lives.
Since creditor companies will be backed by the National Treasury if the debtor is unable to pay off the debt, this backing will encourage creditors to participate in the program and grant significant discounts to consumers.
The government has categorized debts into three bands, with bands 1 and 2 being the main ones. The operation will be similar to a clean name fair, but in an auction format, with the aim of renegotiating several debts simultaneously.
The main differences between Track 1 and Track 2 can be found in the updates to the rules in Provisional Measure No. 1,176 of June 5, 2023, which establishes Desenrola Brasil.
The company that grants the biggest discounts will be eligible to join the program and enjoy the benefits offered. The list of companies that will take part in the Desenrola Brasil Program has not yet been released, but Finance Minister Fernando Haddad said that Banco do Brasil will be among them. In addition, the president of Febraban praised the initiative and reinforced the banks' responsibility to participate.
The federal government's plan is for companies from different sectors to take part in the program, with an emphasis on retail, where most Brazilians accumulate their debts.
In Desenrola Brasil ProgramThe agreed amount can be paid in cash or financed in up to 60 months. Payment can be made via account debit, bank slip or Pix. Those who choose to pay in installments will pay an interest rate of 1.99% per month, but will have up to 30 days to pay the first installment. Cash payments are made via a platform, and the amount is then passed on to the creditor companies.
To take part in the program, debtors must have debts of no more than R$5,000 and earn no more than two minimum salaries (for debtors with Track 1 debts) or be enrolled in the CadÚnico.
This means that the target audience for Desenrola Brasil Program also includes families benefiting from the Bolsa Família. It is important to note that debts related to rural credit, real estate financing and debts with real guarantees will not be included in Band 1.
With the Desenrola Brasil Program, you will have the opportunity to get out of debt and organize your financial life.
